We’re Hitting the Road! Lancashire Damp Proofing Joins the Trinity Push Force 2026

At Lancashire Damp Proofing, we believe in supporting the community that supports us. That is why we are incredibly proud to announce our participation in one of the most unique and grueling charity challenges the North West has ever seen: The Trinity Push Force 2026.

This July, our team, led by our Director Lee Benson, will be stepping up to support Sean Lynden (Blackpool Industrial Roofing) and other Fylde Coast businesses in a monumental effort to raise vital funds for Trinity Hospice.

The Challenge: 110 Miles, 6 Days, One Hospital Bed

This isn’t just a charity walk; it is a test of endurance and teamwork. Starting on Monday, July 6th, 2026, the team will be pushing a hospital bed over 180km (110+ miles) across Lancashire.

The route is designed to connect the care community, visiting seven different hospices along the way. The journey begins in Southport and moves through Chorley, Bolton, Blackburn, Preston, and Lancaster, before the final leg brings the team home to Blackpool on Saturday, July 11th.

It is a logistical feat equivalent to completing four full marathons in less than a week—all while maneuvering a bed and, quite possibly, doing it in fancy dress!

Why We Are Doing It

Trinity Hospice provides outstanding, specialist care to patients and families across the Fylde Coast, but this level of care comes at a significant cost.

  • It takes over £14 million a year to run Trinity Hospice.
  • Only a small percentage of this comes from government funding.
  • They rely heavily on the generosity of people and businesses in our community to keep the doors open.

By supporting the Trinity Push Force, we are helping ensure that the hospice can continue to offer compassionate care to those who need it most—today, tomorrow, and long into the future.

How Lancashire Damp Proofing is Getting Involved

We are throwing our full weight behind this challenge. Our Director, Lee Benson, will be personally taking on the final leg of the challenge, walking and pushing the bed on Saturday, July 11th, to cross the finish line in Blackpool.

Additionally, colleagues from the Lancashire Damp Proofing team will be joining the rotation throughout the six-day event to ensure the bed keeps moving.

We Need Your Help to Raise £100,000

The Trinity Push Force has set an ambitious target of raising over £100,000. Every penny raised goes directly toward bridging the funding gap for Trinity Hospice, allowing them to focus on what they do best: caring for our loved ones.

There are three ways you can help us achieve this goal:

  1. Donate: Please support Lee and the team by donating to our JustGiving page. No amount is too small, and every donation makes a real difference. Donate to Lee & The Team Here
  2. Sponsor or Advertise: If you are a local business, you can purchase advertising space on the bed itself or provide logistical support (vehicles/drivers).
  3. Join the Force: We are looking for walkers to join the rotating teams. If you think you can handle a leg of the journey, get in touch!

Please join us in wishing Sean, Lee, and the entire team good luck as they prepare for this massive challenge. Together, we can make a real difference for Trinity Hospice.
